Senior Portfolio Manager (f/m/d) Strategy & Growth

A Snapshot of Your Day What should the Digital Grid portfolio look like tomorrow, and where should we invest to get there? In this role, you will explore market shifts, customer requirements, competitive developments, and emerging technologies to identify the opportunities that matter most. Working across product management, engineering, business development, and regional teams, you will transform technical and commercial insights into growth strategies, business cases, and investment recommendations. From evaluating new opportunities to influencing senior stakeholders, your work will directly contribute to the strategic direction of the portfolio.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead portfolio strategy initiatives across Digital Grid, assessing market trends, customer needs, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and portfolio priorities.
• Drive strategic projects and cross-functional programs, turning technical, market, and commercial insights into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Develop business cases, growth strategies, and investment recommendations that support portfolio expansion, innovation, and strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate new technologies, market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and inorganic growth opportunities based on their strategic and commercial relevance.
• Partner with customers and internal teams across product management, engineering, business development, and regions to translate market requirements into portfolio opportunities.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Energy Systems, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• A strong track record of minimum 8 years in strategic roles, gained through portfolio or technology strategy, business development, product management, management consulting, or related work within energy, utilities, industrial automation, or infrastructure.
• A strong understanding of power systems, grid technologies, digital solutions, and software-enabled business models in the energy industry.
• Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and develop business cases, market assessments, technology evaluations, and executive-level recommendations.
• Combining strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, you can structure complex topics, influence senior decision-makers, and work effectively across international and cross-functional teams.
